The Center for Strategy & Policy (hereafter refers to as center) is a subordinate of the School of Humanities & Social Sciences of Tsinghua University. Established in May, 2008, the center is set up to meet the urgent need from China current economic and social development and to impel the research on China reform theory and practice.
The center's objectives are to construct an international first-class, open-style research platform, attract the domestic and foreign well-known researchers, and impel researches focusing on China developmental strategy and policy. The center will introduce and apply advanced theories, methods and technologies, to conduct the research on China's reform and development of economic system and society, especially the industrial adjustment and development. The research will provide theory and practice basis for policy-making and market and industry development.
The center’s work currently mainly revolves around scholarly research, the industry expert team building, personnel training and academic exchanges. At present, the defined main research area includes: Macro economy, energy and resources, finance, retail and real estate. We are aiming at producing high-standard result.
The center is lead by the Strategic committee and the Executive committee. The management team includes a director, an executive director, and a Vice-director. The center hires researchers, guest researchers and part-time researchers. The center also appoints operating team to be in charge of the daily operations.
