The SHSS has formed a long cultural tradition in the years of school running, and has organized rich and colorful student activities, representing its unique humanization among the science and engineering departments.  SHSS currently has 7 tier-1 Ph.D. and M.A. Degree Disciplines, 4 Tier-2 Ph.D. and M.A. Degree Disciplines, 8 Tier-2 M.A. Degree Disciplines, 4 Bachelor's Degree Programs, 5 Postdoctoral program, and 1 key program. There are 80 Ph.D. advisors and about 130 MA advisors serving in SHSS. There are 263 on its faculty, including 109 full professors, 112 associate professors and 42 lecturers. The current enrollment is about 1790, including about 585 undergraduates, about 423 master’s degree students and 289 doctoral students, 477 international undergraduate students.

　　Under the leadership of the School Party Committee, the School League Committee, the School Graduate League Committee, the School Student Union and The School Graduate Student Union aim to make Tsinghua a world-class university. They carry out the academic discipline “to study in a rigorous approach, and to be in a honest and faithful way”, maintain and represent the students interests, emphasize on the function of “the After-class Education”, unite all students and lead them to positively and vigorously make efforts to be high-qualified, high-standard, diversified and creative core members of the society.
